- Review existing as-built drawings
- Conduct field investigations
- Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines
- Coordinate design schedules and deliverables
- Perform feasibility studies
- Prepare schematic designs
- Design Engineering
- Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE
- Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules
- Design lighting systems and controls
- Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems
- Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies
- Experience with low-voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus
- Design Complexity
- Perform routine engineering work using standard techniques
- Conduct basic engineering calculations
- Prepare construction estimates and specifications for small projects
- Independently develop small reports and peer review small projects
- Construction Administration
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs
- Produce meeting reports and punch lists
- Participate in construction meetings and provide clarifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred
- LEED Accreditation is a plus
- 2–4 years of engineering design experience post-graduation or equivalent professional experience
- Prior experience working on healthcare/hospital buildings preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite
- AutoCAD
- Revit (a plus)
- California Building Code (a plus)
- National Electrical Code (a plus)
- HCAI experience (a plus)
- Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus)
