We are offering a unique position for an experienced photographer / videographer to shoot construction documentation on location. Computer production of that imagery will be part of the workflow. Video editing in Adobe Premiere is also part of that production. FAA certification as a UAS drone pilot would be a valuable plus.

This job is about working outdoors year-round taking both STILL photos & (non-creative) videos in all types of locations including active construction project sites, industrial areas, older urban zones, and simply open fields. Our work is documentation or inspection oriented and seldom creative. Our initial interest is in a person who understands the blue collar nature of working at P-Tn and also brings sufficient photo / video / editing experience to the table for us to quickly train them in our approach to capturing images.

P-Tn is family owned & operated; established in 1973. Our staff wears many hats, providing a variety of services to our clients in architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate. We are seeking a photographer who offers a variety of skills for working in a small business setting. You will work both INDOORS and OUTDOORS in all seasons to accurately capture imagery and visually document different environments, then complete computer production of that imagery. We primarily create documentation-level (basic) photo & audio-video imagery in volume!

We also fly (drone) aerial still images & video footage, shoot creative architectural photos, capture executive portraits & headshots, install remote webcam systems for contractors to manage site-monitoring & security, capture time-lapse imagery, create videos, edit marketing quality video 'shorts', and photograph an occasional event for our clients. We create & maintain websites for select clients, manage social media posting, and we also sell iPlanTables Interactive Touchscreen Workstations.

Photography & videography skills & experience are required.

However, we will train you to our specific procedures. The more experience and talent you bring - the better. WINDOWS computer skills are essential. We will further train you for our specific photo/video production processes, and provide all needed photographic & computer equipment. Show us your photography. Editing experience in Adobe Premiere is important, and we will request samples of videos you have personally shot and/or edited. Your desire to become a professional photographer, photo technician, videographer, video editor, or drone pilot, is of interest to us. Bringing those skills to the interview is a plus.

If you are an FAA Certified UAS-Drone Pilot - let us know. If you have drone flight experience and wish to become certified – you do the studying and we will pay when you pass the pilot test, then utilize your new skills.

Are you? ... punctual – reliable – ready to learn – focused – enthusiastic - organized .. are you comfortable talking with people and a good communicator – do you have ‘common sense’ – and do you enjoy being outdoors, year round?

You will shoot literally thousands of images to our specifications and high standards. We demand proficiency in specific computer imaging skills, plus managing of digital photographs & videos, as well as video editing. You will work with and learn from seasoned professional photographers in a small business work environment that will team you with the business owners to contribute your skills toward completing our varied assignments for a long list of respected clients.

The pay scale of $15 to $20 per hour would be based upon your skill & experience levels. We typically require a paid 30-day internship-trial period at $15/hr to all new hires. Once you display the skills we require, we would begin a part-time concentrated training program at a rate of up to 17.50/hr with a potential of $20/hr or more within 6months-1year for a successful trainee.

There is potential for an ongoing part-time position after 30-90 days, or future full-time work, based upon your successful performance, an evaluation of your skills, the quality of your completed work, and our staffing needs.

We will offer some flexibility for you to work around other obligations, but we expect availability during daytime – weekday hours. Schedule may begin at 16 hrs/wk, and vary from 16-32 hrs/wk. Starting wage TBD based upon evaluation of your internship trial period, training, and your competency in the skills you bring.

An NDA and/or Non-Compete agreement will be required.

We are not seeking ... aspiring portrait or wedding or creative advertising illustration photographers. This job involves more 'mundane' field photo/video work than it does advanced video / film production. Our focus is in the construction & engineering industries, working outdoors and on location.
