Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychotherapy.
- Work collaboratively with clients who have developmental disabilities, ensuring their unique needs are met through tailored therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Engage in clinical research to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of mental health.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility for clients unable to attend in-person appointments.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to mental health care, enhancing communication with other healthcare professionals.
Experience
- Proven experience in providing therapy services, particularly with children or individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques is preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies related to mental health treatment.
- Experience working within telehealth environments is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate medical records efficiently while adhering to confidentiality standards.
