What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Materials Handler- 3rd Shift position at P & P INDUSTRIES INC.?
Duties / Responsibilities:
Accountable for maintaining the materials warehouse and ensuring materials are prepared for production
Follow Production Work Instructions and adhere to Quality standards at all times
Monitor raw material drying machines per material instructions
Perform mixing of raw materials per Production Work Instructions
Perform basic trouble shooting on the material conveyor system
Receive raw material shipments
Maintain raw materials area cleanliness standards
Assist production team with setups and startups
Interface with production team
Demonstrate P&P Core Values
Demonstrate Safe and On-Time work ethic
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
2 years’ experience working with plastic materials and injection molding operations
Experience working in a Lean facility preferred.
Demonstrated basic understanding of plastic resin properties and impacts on those properties
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow written work instructions and production schedules
Demonstrated basic ability with Microsoft Office Products and ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to maintain open communications and tenacious follow up
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Licensed Fork Truck Operator
Ability to sit, stand, bend and twist, lift up to 55 lbs travel throughout the facility, and differentiate between all colors
