Custodian

Duties / Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks (such as changing light bulbs, moving furniture, setting up for meetings, painting, washing walls, etc.)

Maintain outside common walk areas, main entrance locations, sweeping debris and cleaning parking lot.

Emptying smoking receptacles as required.

Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors.

Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Clean restrooms including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors, and walls.

Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap.

Clean entrance glass and other interior glass.

Clean and mop cafeteria and break room areas on an as needed basis.

Respond positively and promptly to internal customer requests.

Work effectively with other team members.

Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, door lock, time & attendance, and follow company dress code.

Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners.

Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.

Clean company manufacturing plants and outside areas.

Empty shop waste and recycling containers.

Help with Company snow removal.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Work history that demonstrates work ethic and responsibility.

Must have ability to work independently and as a team member.

Ability to wear all forms of PPE necessary while working in a plant environment.

Perform responsibilities in compliance with quality and environmental policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.

Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crouching, and travel throughout the facility.
