What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Mechanical Technician position at P & N Automotive Services?
P & N Automotive Services is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to become part of our team in Concord, NH. We are looking for someone who is comfortable diagnosing vehicle problems, performing repairs, and handling day-to-day service work with accuracy and attention to detail.
This position is well suited for a technician who can work independently, take pride in their work, and provide reliable service across a range of vehicles.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems using appropriate diagnostic methods and equipment
- Carry out repairs involving brakes, suspension, steering, engines, and other vehicle systems
- Perform oil changes, inspections, maintenance services, and other scheduled work
- Evaluate vehicle condition and communicate recommended repairs
- Operate automotive tools and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow established shop procedures and workplace safety practices
What We’re Looking For
- Automotive repair experience; 5 years preferred
- Strong mechanical understanding and diagnostic abilities
- European vehicle experience is a plus
- Comfortable troubleshooting problems and determining effective repair solutions
- Able to work with limited supervision and prioritize daily tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- ASE certification is a plus
Experience & Skills
Automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, brake service, suspension and steering systems, engine repair, preventive maintenance, vehicle inspections, scan tools, problem solving, and teamwork.
Position Details
- Full-time employment
- Four-and-a-half-day work schedule
- Weekends off

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
