The Vice President of Operations at P.B. Hoidale Co., Inc. is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient service delivery, and supporting the company’s long-term strategic growth. This role oversees all day-to-day operational functions, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures that business processes, quality standards, and customer satisfaction align with the company’s mission and core values.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support company growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape organizational goals, budget priorities, and performance targets.
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making and operational improvements.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations, including service delivery, logistics, supply chain management, safety, compliance, and facility operations.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Ensure business continuity through effective planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational managers and staff across multiple departments.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance work culture.
  • Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment among operational teams.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and track KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability.

Customer & Partner Relations

  • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee the resolution of operational issues, service concerns, and escalated client needs.
  • Represent the company in high-level discussions with key stakeholders.

Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Drive quality assurance efforts to maintain high standards of service and product delivery.
  • Support and enhance workplace safety programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive operational leadership experience, preferably in distribution, construction services, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex operations, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and operational KPIs.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
