What You’ll Do
- Prepare and submit permit applications to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Identify and address environmental risks to air, soil, and stormwater.
- Develop and distribute pollution prevention plans.
- Review how materials are handled and prepare hazard reports.
- Collect and analyze stormwater and soil samples.
- Communicate with government agencies about environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement policies that support safe and productive operations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
- 1-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or engineering.
- Experience with air and stormwater permitting processes.
- Familiarity with calculating air emissions using standard tools (e.g., AP-42, FIREdata).
- Understanding of stormwater detention, retention, and treatment systems.
- Knowledge of reporting requirements under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
