- Coordinate weekly laboratory sessions for the Physical Science Department.
- Prepare lab materials and setups independently or in collaboration with work-study students.
- Maintain and organize laboratory spaces, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for instruction.
- Operate, maintain, and support laboratory equipment and related technologies.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, inventory, and storage of lab supplies and equipment.
- Ensure proper care, calibration, maintenance, and safety of all departmental materials and instruments.
- Communicate effectively with faculty regarding equipment, chemicals, and lab organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Academic background in a science related field (including various high school and college coursework).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a dependable work schedule and uphold professional standards of punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience in preparation of chemical solutions.
- Knowledge of scientific weights and measures.
- Experience in receiving and stocking.
- Experience working within a collegiate setting.
