Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and function.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately to inform ongoing care adjustments.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care facilities through education and tailored exercise programs.
- Provide hands-on patient care during sessions in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health visits, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Educate patients and families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care routines.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for effective patient assessment and treatment implementation.
