As a Day Hab Staff member, you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence, building life skills, and participating in meaningful community and recreational activities. Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in a safe, respectful, and person-centered manner.
- Assist participants with daily living skills, personal care, and community integration as needed.
- Facilitate educational, recreational, vocational, and social activities.
- Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth.
- Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and behavior support strategies.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and progress notes.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all participants.
- Transport participants to community activities when required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background screening.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- CPR/First Aid and Medication Aide certification is a plus .
