Position Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with oral surgery experience (or a strong interest in surgical assisting) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced oral surgeons and develop your clinical skills in a specialty setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist oral surgeon during procedures including extractions, implant placement, and IV sedation
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, sterile field, and operatory setup
- Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring comfort and safety
- Take digital X-rays and CBCT scans as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Provide post-op instructions and educate patients on proper care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment
- Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
Requirements:
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Arkansas
- Oral Surgery or surgical assisting experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain professionalism under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- DAANCE Certification (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination)
- Experience with EMR/digital charting systems
