About OZK Vans
OZK Vans designs and builds high-quality custom camper vans for clients who value craftsmanship, adventure, and life on the road. Our builds focus on durability, functionality, and clean design that allows our customers to travel comfortably and confidently.
As we prepare for upcoming growth and additional build capacity, we are building a bench of skilled builders who have experience with custom vehicle projects and camper van conversions.
This posting is intended to identify experienced builders for potential future project opportunities. While there may not be an immediate opening today, we are identifying strong candidates now so we can move quickly when additional build projects begin.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for individuals who understand how camper vans are built from the inside out and can contribute to multiple phases of a custom build.
Ideal candidates may have experience with:
- Camper van conversions
- RV interior builds
- Custom cabinetry or finish carpentry
- 12V electrical systems and solar setups
- Plumbing and water systems
- Insulation and interior paneling
- General fabrication and problem solving
Builders who are comfortable working independently and producing high-quality work tend to do very well in our shop.
Scope of Work
Depending on the project, builders may assist with:
- Installing cabinetry and interior structures
- Electrical system installation (12V / solar)
- Plumbing systems and water tanks
- Flooring, insulation, and wall paneling
- Mounting accessories and exterior components
- Troubleshooting and build adjustments
All work must meet high standards for quality, durability, and safety.
Contractor Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on build experience
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Valid driver's license
- Personal tools preferred
Interview Process
Our hiring process includes:
- A short phone interview with our recruiting team
- A casual lunch conversation at the shop with our Shop Manager and build team (for selected candidates)
This gives both sides an opportunity to discuss build experience and determine whether the shop environment is a good fit.
Because we are currently building a bench for future projects, there may be some time between interviews and project availability.
Independent Contractor Notice
This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor relationship. Contractors operate independently and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
Submission of an application does not guarantee project work or engagement.
Equal Opportunity Statement
OZK Vans considers contractor candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability veteran status, or any other protected classification under applicable law.
Salary : $35 - $45
