Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations and ensuring exceptional service to our long-term care partners.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently packaging prescriptions
• Entering prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Working closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
• Answering incoming calls professionally and assisting with:
• New prescriptions
• Refills
• Facility and patient questions
• Prescription clarifications
• Assisting with billing and first-fill prescription processing
• Resolving prescription discrepancies and communicating effectively with facilities and healthcare staff
• Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced pharmacy setting
• Supporting a positive team atmosphere and contributing to overall department success

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Long-term care pharmacy experience is a plus
• Familiarity with prescription processing and billing systems
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn pharmacy procedures and workflows

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods (6–8 hours)
• Frequent movement throughout the workday
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and retrieve stock items
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working on a computer throughout the shift
