Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, medical documentation, and the ability to administer basic life support. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, behavioral health, and travel nursing.
Duties
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions and treatments.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Support patients with behavioral health needs by providing appropriate interventions.
- Participate in training and education for patients and their families regarding health management.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience in administering injections is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform suturing tasks when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel for nursing assignments as needed.
