- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling with heavy lifting techniques when necessary.
- Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building positive relationships and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols related to automobile transportation, heavy lifting, and retail store standards to ensure a secure working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or retail store delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper procedures.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and client relationship building.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving and transportation safety standards.
