Pharmacy Technician - Full Time

Job Description Summary: Minimum starting salary $17.02 / hour

Pharmacy Tech responds to the needs of the department. Profiles orders, checks in and orders stock and performs clerical duties. Pharmacy Tech provides person-centered services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. Pharmacy Tech demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Pharmacy Tech will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma because of the care received. Pharmacy Tech reports directly to the Pharmacist.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
• 1 year experience in retain pharmacy preferred, will train the right candidate
  
  

Responsibilities

• Profiles and fills medication orders accurately with improving proficiency under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Performs clerical duties as required for patient profiles, inventory control and data control
• Packages items according to policy and procedures and maintain stock levels
• Fill unit does carts accurately and improve proficiently under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Process automatic stop orders according to policy and procedure
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
