Are you experienced in mortgage lending and eager to join a dynamic team? We are seeking a detail-oriented Loan Processor to handle all aspects of secondary market loans, from application to post-closing. Your responsibilities will include locking loans with investors, coordinating documentation, liaising with underwriters, and ensuring a smooth closing process. Additionally, you will assist with rate calculations, provide support to Loan Officers, and maintain accurate records in our Loan Origination System.
Position: Mortgage Loan Processor
Responsibilities:
- Process secondary market loans from application to post-closing.
- Calculate and post weekly rates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and month-end loan reports.
- Provide rate quotes to customers and Loan Officers.
- Update and maintain forms and fee changes in the Loan Origination System.
- Assist with in-house consumer, commercial, and real estate loans.
- Aid customers in completing Residential Mortgage Loan Applications.
- Assist Loan Officers with necessary documentation and analysis forms.
- Perform general administrative duties for Loan Officers.
- Assist in clearing loan exceptions and monitoring loan supplies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant banking or loan processing experience.
- Experience with Encompass is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in reading comprehension, problem identification, and judgment.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective planning, prioritizing, and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to quality customer service and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong awareness of customer privacy and data security.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
