Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.
We are seeking to fill the position of Cook III for WEEKENDS ONLY.
- Hourly Pay rate range = $19.10 to $20.94 per hour.
- WEEKENDS SCHEDULE.
Cook Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A least 3 years experience in high volume food preparation setting.
- Certification in food safety required.
- Experience in Long-Term Care food service preferred.
Cook Job Summary:
- Prepare and serve all meals, including salads and desserts, for therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
- Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders.
- Serve meals using proper portions and special diet items.
- Prepare food for special occasions or special resident needs as necessary.
- Maintain equipment and food storage areas in sanitary and orderly condition.
