About The Role:
OZ Trails Bike Park is bringing lift-served gravity riding to Northwest Arkansas. Located in Bella Vista, the park features purpose-built downhill trails, a high-speed lift, and riders traveling from across the country.
We're looking for full-time and part-time Oz Trails Bike Shop Rental associates! The Bike Shop Rental Associate is often the first touchpoint for a rider’s day at the park. This role is all about setting people up for a great experience - getting them on the right bike, making sure everything is dialed, and sending them out confident and ready to ride.
You’ll work at the intersection of service, product, and experience - helping riders feel welcome, supported, and stoked from the moment they walk in.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position and will require weekday and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities
Set Riders Up for Success
- Fit guests to the right rental bikes based on skill level, terrain, and goals
- Ensure all bikes are clean, safe, and trail-ready
- Walk riders through basic bike operation and park expectations
- Answer questions about trails, gear, and riding in the park
Deliver Great Guest Experiences
- Greet every guest with energy and professionalism
- Create a smooth, efficient rental process from check-in to return
- Help riders feel comfortable, especially those new to the sport or park
- Represent Oz Trails with authenticity and a service-first mindset
Keep Operations Running Smoothly
- Manage rental inventory, check bikes in/out, and track usage
- Maintain organization of the shop and rental fleet
- Communicate clearly with mechanics and leadership on bike status and needs
- Support retail or front-of-house operations when needed
Support Bike Maintenance
- Perform basic safety checks and minor adjustments (tires, brakes, cockpit)
- Identify and flag maintenance issues for the mechanic team
- Help keep the fleet in top condition for daily use
Qualifications:
- A passion for bikes and the outdoor experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
Bonus if you have:
- Previous experience in a bike shop, rental operation, or outdoor industry
- Basic bike mechanic skills
- Familiarity with mountain biking and bike park environments
Work Environment:
This role involves standing, reaching, seeing, grasping, bending and speaking for extended periods of time in an open-concept environment with varying noise levels.
