About The Role:
OZ Trails Bike Park is bringing lift-served gravity riding to Northwest Arkansas. Located in Bella Vista, the park features purpose-built downhill trails, a high-speed lift, and riders traveling from across the country.
We're looking for full-time OZ Trails Bike Park Patrol! Bike Patrol serves as a front-line safety ambassador, patrolling designated trails and recreational areas by bicycle to ensure the well-being of all guests. This position combines emergency response, preventive safety, and guest education to maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Patrol must be self-motivated and capable of making sound decisions in dynamic, outdoor conditions.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position and will require weekday and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities
Trail Monitoring & Guest Education
- Conduct regular trail monitoring and safety sweeps across assigned patrol zones.
- Proactively engage guests to provide safety education, trail rules, and wayfinding assistance.
- Identify and assess potential hazards, including trail damage, wildlife, and environmental conditions.
Emergency Response & Medical Aid
- Respond promptly to injuries, medical emergencies, and distress calls within the patrol area.
- Administer first aid and support within the scope of training and certification.
- Coordinate with Emergency Medical Services and facilitate safe patient handoffs.
- Operate and maintain first aid equipment, including AEDs, oxygen, and trauma kits.
Incident Documentation & Communication
- Document all incidents, accidents, and hazards accurately using established reporting systems.
- Communicate trail closures, alerts, and safety notices to guests and supervisory staff.
- Maintain clear radio communication with dispatch and other patrol members at all times.
- Submit timely end-of-shift reports summarizing patrol activities and observations.
Event Safety Staffing
- Provide medical and safety coverage at scheduled events, races, and organized trail activities.
- Coordinate with event organizers to establish safety plans, staging areas, and evacuation routes.
- Monitor crowd safety and enforce event-specific rules and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Must be a certified EMT or Paramedic with intermediate to advanced riding abilities.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency services or a related field.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- A passion for bikes and the outdoor experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Bike riding 4 - 8 hrs/day on varied terrain
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, kneeling, and bending
- Outdoor, year-round in all weather conditions
- Weekends, holidays, and evenings required
- Exposure to dust, allergens, and wildlife
