Graphic-Marketing Communications Designer

Description

Marketing’s Creative Services supports the creation, execution, and maintenance of creative projects for the OZ Brand and in support of marketing, communications, and business development. This includes the production of project-specific and non-project-specific graphics deliverables, which can include print, digital, and web-based deliverables. This track primarily focuses on creating graphic elements and standards, producing digital and print collateral, website maintenance, and photography and video coordination. Creative Services takes ownership as a strategic contributor and tactical implementer, supporting department objectives, and is motivated to push the OZ Brand within and outside the firm. Creative Services works closely with marketing leadership. Individuals interested in this part of the OZ Marketing department take ownership of processes, marketing deliverables, design process, tools, and technologies. They help develop the visual brand of OZ and have an eye for furthering our mission and vision through visual storytelling.    

Our department requires a personable candidate who can present OZ and its services in a brand-compliant, differentiated, and compelling way. Individuals must have strong organizational skills, be energetic, and have strong professional writing, proofreading, and graphic competencies.  

This role reports to Marketing Leadership. 

Marketing Deliverables 

• Champion the OZ Visual Brand Standards; drive it forward with consensus 
• Further the Marketing and Business development goals of the firm via exemplary design of marketing and business development collateral 
• Conceives and designs brand identity and additional communications brand packages for both internal OZ requirements and client assignments. 
• Generate social media postings including photos and brief narratives of OZ events and milestones to illustrate our culture, celebrate OZ achievements and promote our expertise.  
• Contribute to and maintain all marketing databases, including Egnyte, OpenAsset, KEV, etc. 
• Curate all external-facing marketing platforms, including web, social, videos, publications, etc. 
• Customizes and implements creative and graphic design 
• Develops and implements processes, procedures, tools & technology 
• Drive continuous design and marketing process improvement 
• Coordinates graphic design activities, establishes design guidelines, and provides project oversight  
• Maintain awareness of new products, services, strategies, and tools to improve marketing deliverables 
• Manage internal and external deadlines in relation to marketing management responsibilities 
• Assist and support the workload of the marketing team as a whole 
• Contribute to having well-organized and effective team meetings 
• Coach teammates to meet graphics and brand standards 
• Execute employee training, development, and mentoring for all OZ team members. 
• Drive firm-wide initiatives to ensure brand standards are being met. 

Promote the firm-wide marketing objectives/plan by curating our brand’s assets and overall graphics approach, including: 

• Website, Logos, Tag Lines  
• Look, feel, and overall design of OZ quals, proposals, and presentations firm-wide 
• Ensure the OZ brand is accurately represented in all internal and external deliverables 
• Maintain and evolve the OZ brand. Train firm on brand standards and expectations.  
• Develop and maintain General Brochures and Lookbooks 
• Firm Announcements / Newsletters / Events 
• Animation and video production 

Project Acquisition 

• Manage the quality of the firm’s visuals for proposals and interviews  
• Assist with the proactive upkeep of the Proposal Database 

Assist and participate in project pursuit follow-up with the marketing team as needed 

• Proposal database 
• Debrief Process / Win-Loss Report 
• End of year metrics 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, design, or equivalent field 
• 5 years of applicable experience in the A/E/C industry 
• Proven experience developing, owning, and maintaining firmwide strategic initiatives and/or programs 
• Expert Level User in Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator   
  • Video and Photo Editing a plus 
• Strong professional writing, graphics, and proofreading capabilities 
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Proficient in various computer applications
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) 
  • CRM Software (Deltek Vision/Vantage Point a plus) 
  • Digital Asset Management Platforms (OpenAsset a plus)
