Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Oyster Bay Manor/Harbor House, a serene, assisted living and memory care facility nestled in Oyster Bay, New York, is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, providing exceptional support to our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems
Respond quickly to maintenance requests from residents and various departments
Conduct basic sheetrock, flooring, and lighting repairs
Periodically tour the facility and grounds to ensure basic safety compliance
Report any unusual conditions or malfunction of heating, plumbing, and electrical systems or any other incidents
Conduct basic construction and repair experience
Qualifications:
Basic construction and repair experience
Prior experience as a Maintenance Worker in an Assisted Living Facility is a BIG PLUS but not required
Ability to interact with residents with respect and dignity
Knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment is a Plus
Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment repair and preventative maintenance is a plus
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to maintenance tasks
Must be vaccinated
