We primarily serve other engineering firms, public agencies, and businesses on projects consisting of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and pump stations, chemical storage, and commercial buildings. Our Engineering Team is growing!
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems supporting water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of low and medium voltage power distribution, instrumentation, controls, and lighting systems for large-scale mechanical process and building projects.
Working with minimal oversight, you will take ownership of major project components and contribute to the delivery of multidisciplinary designs. You will be expected to exercise sound engineering judgment, independently evaluate non-routine design challenges, and select appropriate methods and techniques to develop effective, code-compliant solutions.

Status: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Start/End times have some flexibility – we strive for an 8-hour workday
- Hybrid “Work from Home-Office” routine is a consideration after the initial training period
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, scoping, proposals, and coordination of technical activities, including managing budgets, design, QA/QC, and production
- Ensure that engineering objectives are met and communicated; manage staff and resolve project operational issues to stay on time and within budget
- Prepare plans, specifications, and reports through advanced design calculations, technical analysis, and research of current design standards
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical codes and design software relevant to the firm’s projects
- Develop electrical design reports, calculations, and drawings that align with applicable codes, project specifications, and internal standards
- Interact with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain technical information, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, architectural, civil, structural, and control systems engineers
- Deliver projects within specified timelines and quality control requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 years relevant working experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California required
- Project management experience
- Preferred experience in electrical design for water and wastewater treatment facilities (power, lighting, control systems)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. without employer visa assistance
Compensation: $175,000 – $210,000 annually depending on experience
