MISSIONS

  1. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and relevant laws and regulations for cosmetics and OTC products.
  2. Manage a sustainable and efficient quality system and team driven by top level commitment to a culture that supports excellence in quality for our products and services.
  3. Understand and validate the feasibility of our customers quality requirements to ensure we can meet their expectations.
  4. Guarantee quality at each Bill of Material level (RAW, BULKWIP).
  5. Control and continuously reduce the cost of quality throughout our bulk and ingredient supply chain.
  6. Develop quality processes that accelerate the fulfillment of our bulk and ingredient supply chain facilitating prompt and sustainable resolution of quality complaints.
  7. Implement a comprehensive audit and validation process within the bulk and ingredient release system with procedures that meet the requirements of our stakeholders.
  8. Ensure Quality of Raw Materials that are received and existing in our facility in addition to expediting this process.

SCOPE

  1. Oversee at the US Facility, Raw Material and Bulk Approval Process, Bulk Evaluation, Bulk Stability & Expiration Dating, Raw Material & Bulk Specification Updates and Maintenance, as well as Raw Material and Bulk Records, Raw Material and Bulk Status Updates

FUNCTIONS

  1. Create Raw Material and Bulk Disposition
  2. Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse.
  3. Oversee direct report performance
  4. Ensure that raw materials and bulk meet specification vs standard.
  5. Work with R&D for raw material and bulk waiver and acceptance.
  6. Work closely with supplier specifications, deviations, etc.
  7. Report the KPIs on weekly PDCA and on the monthly scorecard as requested
  8. Manage Alert Process for Bulk and Raw Materials.
  9. Review and update SOPs, WKI, flowcharts…
  10. Ensure that raw materials inbound are approved in 48 hours
  11. Identify Quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  12. Specification creation for ingredients as per supplier COA
  13. Raw Material Risk Assessment for recertifications and deviations.
  14. Ensure Quality of Raw Materials that are received and existing in our facility in addition to expediting this process.
  15. And any additional job duties as given

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)

  1. % BULK OFA RFT.
  2. Raw Material approved in 48hours
  3. Bulk approved in 48 hours
  4. Rejected Bulk and Raw Materials Dispositions
  5. Deviated Bulk and Raw Materials Dispositions
  6. % OFA conversion to In-House Approval
Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, related field and 6yrs experience in Cosmetic Manufacturing  OTC Bulk Ingredients or;

10 years relevant experience in the manufacture and release of Cosmetic OTC Bulk Ingredients.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  1. Minimum of 6 years or more experience in cosmetic manufacturing industry with Bachelors Degree or
  2. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the manufacture and release of Cosmetic OTC Bulk Ingredients.
  3. Experience in HPLC, IOE testing

  13. English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  14. Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  15. Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  16. Personnel and Human Resources – Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  17. Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  18. Education and Training – Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effect.

Salary : $62,000 - $65,000
