Our greatest asset has been and will continue to be our people. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of OBO Revenue Accountant based in The Woodlands, TX. This position is responsible for: - Booking revenue and royalty payable for outside operated domestic oil and gas leases. - Reconciling accounts receivable balances resulting from revenue bookings. - Trend analyses and explanation of large swings in the revenue bookings. - Interacting with other departments such as the land department and outside lease operators in order to ensure that the proper revenue is recorded each month.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field. - Minimum 21 hours of accounting credit or equivalent work experience. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines. - Ability to demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment. - Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal & external clients. - Intermediate Excel skills. - Fluctuations in workloads will require some overtime. - Problem solving and analytical thinking as necessary to accomplish accounting objectives. Desired Qualifications: - 1-2 years oil and gas accounting experience with industry knowledge and terminology. - Oil & Gas OBO revenue accounting experience. - SAP/PRA Experience.
