Capital Markets Portfolio Manager

Oxford Solutions is partnering with a financial services client to hire a Capital Markets Portfolio Manager for a full-time, onsite role. This role focuses on managing and optimizing balance sheet portfolios while supporting asset/liability strategies and capital markets activities. We’re seeking a finance professional with strong market awareness, analytical depth, and experience executing transactions in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute portfolio transactions in alignment with established risk/return objectives
• Track market trends, economic indicators, and investment opportunities
• Support workflow and execution for transactions involving debt, derivatives, MBS, AMA, Treasuries, repo, and Fed funds
• Perform financial and balance sheet analysis to support capital markets strategy
• Research capital market and economic developments; communicate insights to internal teams
• Understand market risk management practices and related metrics
• Anticipate market and business developments and help drive proactive solutions
• Stay current on industry changes and best practices
• Collaborate with teams across Risk, Finance, Model Validation, Operations, and IT to ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting; MBA or CFA preferred
• 7 years of experience in financial services, including portfolio management or investment analysis
• Background in capital markets transaction execution and the ability to perform under pressure
• Experience with fixed income instruments including agency debt, derivatives, MBS, Treasuries, repo, and Fed funds
• Strong understanding of ALM concepts, risk management methods, and regulatory considerations
• Hands-on experience with analytical models for evaluating investments and funding decisions
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial platforms such as Bloomberg and Polypaths
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced setting
