Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Juniper Core & Edge Engineer with an active JNCIE certification to support a major telecom customer. This fully remote, 6-month contract-to-hire role requires hands-on expertise with Juniper Core and Edge routing and switching and leadership of a team of 10 engineers, including contractors and internal staff.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for a team of ~10 engineers.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Juniper Core and Edge routing and switching solutions.
- Work with VLAN, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, VPN, EVPN, IP Fabrics, Multicast, NAT/CG-NAT, IPSEC, SSL, MAC-Sec, UTM, and IDP.
- Conduct workshops, design reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Gather network information, generate reports, and provide structured updates to the telecom customer.
- Guide the team in delivering high-quality network deployments and optimizations.
Required Qualifications
- Active JNCIE certification (Service Provider, Enterprise, or Security).
- Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex network projects.
- Deep hands-on experience with Juniper Core/Edge routing and switching in Service Provider or telecom environments.
- Strong expertise in MPLS, OSPF, BGP, EVPN, and large-scale routing architectures.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Services or consulting experience.
- Experience with telecom carriers, cloud service providers, or large-scale WANs.
- Exposure to SDN, SD-WAN, IP Fabrics, or data center networking.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
