Member Service Representative

Oxford Federal Credit Union is growing! We're excited to announce a new branch coming soon to Farmington, Maine and we're looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and member-focused professionals to join our team as Member Service Representatives. This is a unique opportunity to help launch our newest location, create exceptional member experiences from day one, all while working for a financially strong, member-owned credit union proudly serving communities across Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset, and York counties.

As a Member Service Representative, you'll be the friendly face of Oxford FCU as we introduce ourselves to the Farmington community. We believe every interaction is an opportunity to deliver legendary member service, build meaningful relationships, and empower members to achieve their financial goals. What You’ll Do:

• Welcome new members and assists all members with opening accounts; identify opportunities to cross sell products and services that align with member needs.
• Assist existing members with new products and services that meet their savings needs and goals; provide members with information and direction regarding their account status and offer solutions to members concerns; support membership growth through the expansion of member relationships.
• Analyze and resolve member concerns that are encountered, within the scope of authority to resolve, and assist teammates in resolving issues; refer issues beyond their authority to solve to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
• Maintain member account information and ensure that required documentation is collected and compliance requirements are met.
• Maintain a leadership role in the position, which requires good judgment, decision making, flexibility and problem solving; assisting to ensure that the branch is ready to serve members at time of opening, and that the building is properly secured when the business is closed.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year to three years of similar or related experience
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality and a persuasive manner
• Strong sales skills with the ability to influence others
• Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle and monitor multiple tasks
• Possess knowledge of OFCU's policies and procedures, products and services and laws and regulations
• Proficient in MS Office Products, internet research and various other online applications
• Knowledge of data processing systems relative to financial institutions.
• Good judgment and decision making skills
• Minimum typing skills of 30 WPM
• Adaptable to new technologies, regulations, and workplace changes
• Skilled in managing workloads and deadlines
• Eager to learn, embrace innovation, and tackle new challenges effectively
