Oxford Federal Credit Union is excited to open a new, coming‑soon branch in Farmington, Maine, and we are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to play a key leadership role in launching and leading this new location. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a branch from the ground up while shaping the member experience and team culture from day one.

The Branch Manager will lead daily operations at our new Farmington branch and is ideal for a proven banking, credit union or retail leader who excels in team leadership, member service, goal performance, and operational management. This role reports to the SVP of Member Service and serves as a key ambassador of Oxford Federal Credit Union within the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs daily operations of the Branch and supervises employees; plans workforce utilization including delegating, approving absences, and monitoring daily activity of staff; conducts performance reviews and recommends salary adjustments.
- Maintains knowledge of OFCU products and services to quickly assess financial needs, identify and refer cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to the sales department and to ensure member satisfaction by promptly addressing members concerns and issues relating to financial services for complete resolution.
- Handles multiple commitments and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor and upbeat, positive attitude.
- Positively promotes teamwork among staff; keeps lines of communication open with other departments as well as maintaining friendly, professional relationships with members, supervisors and staff.
- Maintains accountability for staff compliance to all policies and procedures; monitors and trains in compliance standards and takes action to resolve out of compliance issues.
- Provides support, training, coaching, development, and recognition of staff.
- Ensures that the branch building, grounds, and equipment are maintained and functioning properly.
- Assists SVP Member Service with the development of branch goals aligned with Credit Union strategy.
- Actively promotes and represents OFCU in the community and maintains strong professional relationships with members, vendors, other financial institutions and similar groups.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A two-year college degree, or any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Must be adaptable to new technologies, evolving regulations, and workplace changes, while demonstrating the ability to handle and monitor multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be skilled in managing workloads and deadlines, with strong organizational abilities and close attention to detail.
- Must be eager to learn, embrace innovation, and tackle new challenges effectively, working independently and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Must have strong supervisory, leadership, sales and interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality and a persuasive manner.
- Must possess strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in MS Office products, internet research, and various online applications, including data processing systems relevant to financial institutions.
- Must possess critical thinking skills and sound judgment when addressing issues or
- Must have strong sales skills to effectively cross-sell credit union products and services.
