Food Service Substitute Pool Food Service District 125 Bell Tower Ln Oxford, PA 19363 Full Time $13.50 per hour District Summary We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Food Service Substitute Pool at the District. This full-time position is ideal for those who are passionate about providing quality food service and support to our school community. As a member of our Food Service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students receive nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. This posting is for individuals look to substitute in various roles intermittently at the direction of the Director of Food Service. Responsibilities - Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. - Support kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization of food service areas. - Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including ovens, grills, and dishwashers. - Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed. - Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. - Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment. - Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required. - Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or supervisor. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Previous experience in food service or kitchen operations is a plus, but not required. - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and duties as needed. - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
