Our client is a global manufacturing company serving the Aerospace/Defense, Healthcare/Life Sciences, and Industrial sectors, partnering with leading organizations to design, manufacture, and service some of the world's most complex and high-stakes products. With a robust and evolving financial systems environment - including a core ERP, multiple financial SaaS applications, and an enterprise data warehouse in active development - they are seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT. This person will own the full lifecycle of financial system enhancements, from gathering business requirements to coordinating testing and deployment, while also providing expert-level support and driving ongoing system stability and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Finance business team and IT, translating business needs into documented functional specifications for solutions development
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for core financial applications including the JDE Finance module, financial SaaS tools, Google tools, and the Boomi integration platform
- Manage and resolve monthly system incidents, provide Level 2 end-user support for escalations, and own coordination of Month-End close support activities
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents, identify systemic issues, and propose strategic solutions to reduce ongoing support volume
- Create comprehensive test specifications and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features, enhancements, and projects
- Support the rollout of BigQuery, Google's enterprise data warehouse, including data stewardship, building Finance reporting, and managing data security and quality
- Utilize SQL skills to support reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting within financial applications
- Identify and champion opportunities for financial process automation, including AI and RPA
- Collaborate across IT teams — Infrastructure, Development, and Support — to ensure business requirements are understood and met
- At times, provide direction and mentorship to junior analysts and assist with onboarding new team members
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in Business Analysis and Application Support roles
- Direct experience working with core financial systems or ERP required; JD Edwards preferred
- Strong understanding of core financial concepts including GAAP and month-end close processes
- Proficiency in SQL for troubleshooting, data analysis, and validation
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment; Agile certifications preferred
- Experience with financial automation tools (AI, RPA) highly desirable
- Comfort presenting to and influencing stakeholders across both Finance and IT
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to ask tough questions and push back professionally to ensure project success
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
