Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up work areas according to construction plans
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move materials, tools, and equipment safely across the site
- Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to support project execution
- Use power tools and equipment for tasks such as cutting, drilling, or assembling materials under supervision
- Support erosion control measures to prevent soil erosion and maintain environmental standards on-site
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA safety standards, respiratory protection protocols, and climbing safety procedures
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure tools and machinery are operational and safe for use
Skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of erosion control techniques and implementation on construction sites
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards
