Position Summary
As a Project Manager, you will oversee residential landscape and pool construction projects from preconstruction handoff through final completion. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, homeowners, and design professionals to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to Oxbow’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Manage the full lifecycle of residential landscape construction projects, from design handoff through closeout
Ensure scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations are consistently met
Financial Management
Develop and track detailed project budgets
Manage change orders, monthly billing, and cost reconciliation
Monitor subcontractor and vendor costs to maintain profitability
Subcontractor & Trade Coordination
Source, negotiate with, and manage multi-trade subcontractors (masonry, carpentry, pool trades, etc.)
Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and performance
Client & Team Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, general contractors, and design teams
Provide proactive updates and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Design & Construction Coordination
Partner with landscape architects and designers to review plans, grading, and specifications
Ensure constructed work aligns with approved designs and intent
Logistics & Resource Management
Coordinate labor, equipment, and specialty material procurement
Anticipate challenges and proactively adjust plans to keep projects on track
Skills & Experience
3–5 years of residential and/or landscape construction project management experience (required)
Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, exterior scopes of work, and specifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required); Bluebeam and AutoDesk experience a plus
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as a self-starter
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Valid, clean driver’s license
Education & Language
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Horticulture, or related field strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education
English required; Spanish is a plus
Schedule & Work Location
Monday–Friday; occasional evenings or weekends as project needs require
In-office role based in Napa, with regular site visits throughout Napa, Sonoma, and the San Francisco Bay Area
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Combination of office and outdoor construction environments
Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and typical jobsite conditions
Occasional exposure to controlled or hazardous substances
Ability to walk uneven terrain, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs without assistance; push/pull heavier objects with assistance
Normal manual dexterity, vision, hearing, and verbal communication ability
Compensation & Benefits
$90,000–$130,000 annually, paid weekly (BOE)
