What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Based Substitute position at Oxbow High School?
Oxbow High School, a seventh through twelfth grade middle/high school located in Bradford, Vermont is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Building Based Substitute starting in the 2026-2027 school year.
The building based substitute is responsible for filling in for absent teacher(s) and/or absent support personnel as assigned by the building administration. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with students across grades seven through twelve and be comfortable working in a variety of classroom content areas and environments. The ideal candidate will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to change on a moment's notice.
Compensation:
This position pays between $19.22 and $29.72 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined by the district’s collective bargaining agreement, which considers factors such as degree level and years of service. This compensation range is provided in accordance with Vermont’s Pay Transparency Law and reflects a good faith estimate. Final salary may vary depending on a new collective bargaining agreement, qualifications, licensure, and other relevant factors.
