Responsibilities
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws to ensure public safety and order within the community.
- Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing detailed reports.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing first aid or CPR as needed to assist injured individuals.
- Perform surveillance activities to monitor suspicious behavior or criminal activity using various techniques and equipment.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions effectively.
- Engage in patrol duties on foot or in patrol vehicles, maintaining visibility and deterrence within neighborhoods and public spaces.
- Assist in security operations at public events or special gatherings to ensure safety for attendees and staff.
- Handle animal-related incidents responsibly, including animal control and care when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records through report writing, documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations thoroughly.
- Apply knowledge of immigration law when relevant to enforce regulations related to immigration status.
- Support loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism activities in commercial or public areas.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior officers and collaborating effectively with team members and community partners.
Experience
- No experience required.
- Lateral or prior experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable, demonstrating discipline and operational knowledge.
