About Us:
Owosso Country Club is a private, member-focused club with a proud history of hospitality, golf, dining, and community. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to oversee the administrative and financial operations of the Club. This is a key leadership role that supports the Board of Directors, management team, and membership.
Position Overview:
The Business Office Manager is responsible for managing the Club’s accounting, payroll, membership administration, and office operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, and comfortable working in a member-service environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process payroll and maintain employee records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors.
- Oversee membership accounts, billing, dues, and minimums.
- Assist with member communications, including email, mailings, and announcements.
- Support the General Manager, Head Golf Professional, and other department leaders with administrative needs.
- Ensure compliance with Club policies, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain organized office systems and records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3 years of accounting/office management experience, preferably in hospitality, club, or nonprofit environments.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time position, typically Monday–Friday with some flexibility for club events.
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
