Role Summary: As a Data Analyst at Ownwell, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive our business forward. You will serve as a bridge between data and decision-making, handling routine reporting while growing your ability to tackle complex, novel challenges. This is a growth-oriented role designed for an analytical thinker who is eager to build technical expertise, champion data transparency, and contribute to a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do):

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business (e.g., Ops, Marketing). You will actively listen to their needs and ask clarifying questions to ensure your analysis solves the root problem.
• Data Request Management: Manage and execute routine ad-hoc data requests using SQL and Tableau, ensuring stakeholders have the timely information they need.
• Feature Development: Contribute to the development of new data features and dashboards. You will handle novel requests with oversight, growing your ability to design solutions independently.
• Execution Ownership: Take full ownership of task execution. Once defined on why a task matters and what needs to be done, you drive the how to completion.
• Process Improvement: Begin proposing technical approaches ("the how") for low-risk items and optimizations within the data pipeline.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, or a related field.
• Experience with SQL (e.g., joins, subqueries, aggregations) and have the ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Understanding of mathematical concepts to ensure rigorous analysis and accuracy.
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau (or similar BI tools like PowerBI/Looker).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points:

• Python: Basic proficiency in Python for data analysis (Pandas, NumPy) or automation.
• Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
• Familiarity with real estate or property tax data.
