This role is for someone who is already leading in some capacity - running crews, guiding field work, helping solve problems. Not just doing the work, but helping shape how it’s delivered and how the team grows.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in delivering survey work from field to finish, supporting crews, staying close to projects, and helping ensure things run smoothly across the board.
Along The Way, You’ll
- Stay close to project performance (scope, schedule, budget)
- Lead daily field operations for land survey projects, directing crew members in the collection of accurate field data for boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
- Perform field calculations, establish and check horizontal and vertical control, and ensure proper reference to known benchmarks.
- Oversee and train field technicians, promoting safe, efficient, and high-quality work practices.
- Conduct field QC reviews to confirm completeness and accuracy of collected data.
- Document site conditions, photos, and any field changes or discrepancies that could impact project deliverables.
- Experience leading survey crews or coordinating field work
- A few years of experience in land surveying (crew chief, party chief, or similar)
- Comfort working across field and office environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A sense of ownership: you care about the work, your team, and doing things the right way
