Medical Housekeeping/Cleaner

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout our facility. This role is responsible for daily housekeeping duties as well as scheduled weekly deep-cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates effectively with staff, and is comfortable requesting assistance when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities

• Wash and put away dishes.
• Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
• Ask for assistance when laundry volume exceeds normal capacity.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms throughout the facility.
• Restock bathroom supplies, including paper products, soap, and other essentials.
• Double-check the staff kitchen to ensure it is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of common areas and workspaces.

Weekly Task Schedule

Monday – Lab Focus

• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean baseboards.
• Move trash cans to the front for collection.
• Assistance from the maintenance/team members may be requested for moving heavy bins or equipment.
• Primary focus area: Laboratory.

Tuesday – Treatment Room Focus

• Clean stairways.
• Sweep the basement.
• Return trash bins after collection.
• Assistance from the maintenance/team members may be requested when needed.
• Primary focus area: Treatment Rooms.

Wednesday – Infusion Side Focus

• Clean interior windows.
• Wipe window sills.
• Water plants throughout the facility.
• Alert staff if any plants appear unhealthy or require additional care.
• Primary focus area: Infusion Side.

Thursday – First Floor Focus

• Spot clean and wipe walls.
• Clean and sanitize coffee machines.
• Clean and sanitize water machines.
• Primary focus area: First Floor.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Willingness to communicate with staff and request assistance when appropriate.
• Dependable attendance and professional conduct.

Work Environment

This position involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday. The employee will work in clinical, laboratory, office, and common-area environments while following all facility sanitation and safety procedures.
