Contract Marketing Artist

Owlchemy Labs is seeking a highly skilled and creative Contract Marketing Artist to join our dynamic marketing team. The Contract Marketing Artist will play a key role in creating visually compelling assets that support a wide range of marketing initiatives, from social media campaigns to website design, store pages, and event promotions. This position requires a versatile artist with strong graphic design expertise, a deep understanding of branding, and a passion for producing high-quality visual content that engages audiences and elevates our brand.

This is a twelve (12) month contract estimated to commence in mid to late February 2026.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality digital assets across various channels including but not limited to social media, website, store pages, blogs, event promotions and digital advertisements
• Manage key assets for our digital store fronts across platforms including asset creation and implementation on store pages to support various game updates and launches
• Work closely with our social media team to provide required content for social campaigns, social banners and trending content
• Support our video content, including YouTube and Streaming, with updated assets including lower-thirds, stream overlays, and thumbnails
• Make A/B test variations of Key Art for use in our storefronts, using provided Key Art as a base, testing design variations that improve CRT and visibility for our products
• Contribute to the development of our website by providing the required assets. Having a basic understanding of SEO principles and how to design assets that are optimized for web performance.
• Be able to go in-engine (Unity) and use our Owlcam software to capture images, for editing and compositing full screenshots, or asset captures for use in Marketing efforts
• Be able to go in HMD and collaborate in playtests with others to capture footage or screenshots for use in Marketing efforts
• Support our sales and paid media campaigns by creating digital advertisements for various platforms
• Ensure all digital assets are optimized for performance across multiple platforms and devices (e.g., file size, resolution, format)
• Partner with the Sr. Lead, Marketing & Communications to ensure all partner asset requests are fulfilled including key art requests, logos, original content and promotional materials
• Partner with the Art Director & Art Team on Marketing efforts that require their input, approval, or collaboration
• Maintain consistent branding and visual style across all materials, ensuring the company's voice and identity are clearly reflected in every asset created
• Balance multiple design projects with competing deadlines, maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting deadlines
  
  

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with knowledge of web and mobile design principles.
• Familiarity with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus
• Must have a great understanding and use of composition and color theory, and have adequate knowledge of graphic/visual/stylistic trends in games
• Experience with Unity or a similar game engine
• Must have excellent communication, time management, relationship building, conflict management, and organizational skills
• Must have the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
• Should be able to multi-task and to adapt easily to change
  
  

Required Experience:

• Experience with Photoshop (or any equivalent 2D software)
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5 years working in interactive media
• Experience working in small teams
• Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus!
• Experience with After Effects (or any equivalent motion graphics software)
• Appreciation of puns (or at least the ability to groan at them)
  
  

Physical Requirements:

Contractors must be able to use virtual reality headsets but are not expected to own one.

Contract fee: $2,000 USD/wk
