Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of our pediatric practice. This role is responsible for supervising clinical staff, maintaining efficient patient flow, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting providers in delivering high-quality care to our pediatric patients and their families.
The Clinical Manager plays a key leadership role in fostering a positive work environment, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring the practice operates efficiently while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of the pediatric practice
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including nurses, medical assistants, and clinical support personnel
- Coordinate staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient patient flow
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
- Monitor and maintain vaccine inventory and storage compliance (VFC guidelines if applicable)
- Assist with clinical training and onboarding for new hires
- Address clinical workflow issues and implement improvements to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with providers and administration to improve patient care processes
- Monitor clinical documentation and quality standards
- Support initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
- Manage medical supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed
- Participate in performance management and staff coaching
Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Kentucky preferred (or equivalent clinical certification)
- Minimum 3–5 years clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics or outpatient healthcare
- Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations, vaccines, and pediatric care workflows
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric clinical experience
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR), specifically EPIC
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
