Front Desk Receptionist / Warehouse Clerk
Owensboro Insulators — Owensboro, KY Pay: $16.00–$20.00/hour (based on experience) | Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
About the Role
Owensboro Insulators is looking for a friendly, dependable Front Desk Receptionist / Warehouse Clerk to be the first point of contact for our customers and support our warehouse team. This role is approximately 70% phone-based customer service/office work and 30% warehouse support. This person needs to be someone we can count on to hold down the front desk independently, answer every call, and get the details right every time.
What You'll Do
Front Desk (70%)
- Answer every incoming call promptly and accurately record customer information, orders, and messages
- Reliably hold down the front office, often independently while sales and management are out
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with the sales/install team
- Enter and process orders, invoices, and basic paperwork with a strong eye for accuracy
- Greet occasional walk-in customers
- Handle customer questions and route issues to the right person
Warehouse (30%)
- Assist with receiving and checking in material deliveries
- Pull and stage orders for jobs
- Help keep inventory organized and accurate
- Light lifting and general warehouse upkeep
What We're Looking For
- Excellent phone skills — clear, professional, and friendly communication is a must
- Outstanding attendance and reliability.
- Careful attention to detail; able to accurately record information on every call, every time
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and be on your feet periodically
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry; [Excel/QuickBooks/inventory software] a plus)
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
