Elementary Teacher
Owensboro Catholic Schools is seeking a full-time elementary teacher at the K-3 Campus. The successful candidate must be faith-filled, dynamic, compassionate, energetic, and willing to work collaboratively in a positive team environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a related field and a valid State of Kentucky teaching certificate or be in the process of receiving certification
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Have a passion for teaching students in the early elementary grades (Kindergarten – 3rd grade)
- Use best practices to provide effective instruction and positive, consistent classroom management
- Self-motivated and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues in a professional and positive manner
- Function as a cooperative, productive team member with a Christ-like attitude
- Support and uphold the philosophy and mission of the Catholic Church and the Owensboro Catholic School System
- Must pass a criminal background check and complete safe environment training for the Diocese of Owensboro before employment can be granted
