5:00AM – 3:30PM Monday-Thursday; OT as needed
Pay: The hourly pay rate for this position is $17.00 benefits. This information is specific to Stokesdale, NC and may not be applicable to other locations.
What your day in this role might involve at OC Stokesdale:
The primary purpose of this position is to recover the highest value from mis-manufactured, defective, or returned material which can be converted into salable product that will move in a reasonable timeframe. This position is responsible for providing feedback to the production environment to reduce generation of scrap.

What your day in this role might involve at OC Stokesdale:

- Observe all safety rules and regulations
- Understand product configurations and features of all products
- Identify quality defects in product
- Setup saw machines to safely recover material
- Feed machine
- Read specification sheets
- Use putty and epoxy to repair defects
- Use measuring tape and caliper
- Check for quality
- Provide feedback to Quality Control, Inventory Control, Production Control, and Manufacturing environment to reduce the scrap being generated
- Exercise excellent housekeeping and organization habits
- Assist with preventative maintenance on equipment
- Work with maintenance to resolve equipment problems
Must haves include…
- High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
- Communicate orally and in writing in a clear and effective manner
- Good hand-eye coordination and be mechanically adaptable
- Able to read, write, and understand to interpret documents like specs
- Able to read a tape measure and caliper
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Able to work independently
- Preferably one year experience in a manufacturing setting
- Lift 35lbs
- Stand for 10 hours
- Climb and descend stairs
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; walking; squatting; lift, push and pull 35-pounds)
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
- Be exposed to wood dust and aluminum with no factors or hazards present to a disagreeable extent.
- Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
