Job Description
- Highlight/identify core that requires cutting on printed schedule
- Measure and set-up core to cut to width and length based on chart specifications
- Must know all core components and door stile/rail construction specs
- Be able to hold and cut up to 2 core at a time, tape Measure use to 32th of an inch,
- Validate accuracy of core before/after cuts, correct count, and in order of the schedule
- Cut back floor report completed daily for inventory adjustments
- Regularly occurring tasks: changing saws blades - certified lockout/tag out, use of small hand tools.
- Drive forklift in high traffic area to move core
- Advanced knowledge door configuration specifications (rails/stiles) and correct sizing of core
- Skills in reading a tape measure/ calculating fractional math
- Apply safety procedures, order tracking process and documents, all sizes and configurations
- Use of tape measure
- Set-up and operation of core saw
- Read instructions list/charts/diagrams.
- Read/ interpret production schedule
- Advanced fractional math calculations and configuring core size according to rail/stile specs
- Perform visual quality checks
- Preparation and cleaning of saw and setup machine for use in cutting core
- High degree of accuracy with no supervision
- Self motivated - high output demand.
- Manually lift/slide/flip core materials (50 lbs or more with assistance)
