Work Location & Shifts: 1120 Industrial Ave, North Platte, NE
2nd Shift 5:00pm-3:30am Monday -Thursday
Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is 24.64 shift differential and benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.
What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:
Overview
To adequately and efficiently transport product, raw materials, etc. from location to location within the manufacturing facility. Ensure all product is transported in a safe manner.
· Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping
· Stages for shipping once wrapped
· Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
· Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation
· Pull all production wrap lines as required
· Pay attention to detail when pulling items from Warehouse based on work order
· Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed if business need requires
· Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment
· Must understand all shipping documents in order to understand the space required for product
· Will also perform other related duties as assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the job description
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment
· Other duties as assigned
What makes a successful OC North Platte team member:
Must haves include…
High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
- 2-3 Years in the field or related area
- Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities
- Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility

Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

- Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
- Forklift knowledge and safety procedures

- Desirable (but not required): Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry skills
There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
- Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
