What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Teacher position at Owendale Gagetown Area Schools?
POSITION: Elementary Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS: ZA Endorsement preferred. Appropriately Certified.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: The teacher will provide support to students in areas associated with academic instruction, but must be prepared to provide daily living skills, behavior/emotional needs, personal care, and/or social concerns when needed.
- Have a passion and desire for working with elementary students.
- Must have a willingness to learn and collaborate with a team as well as have a willingness to serve on committees and be involved in school functions.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain student safety in all situations and utilize effective CPI practices.
- Communicate professionally and build positive relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community.
- Be polite, courteous and tactful.
- Utilize technology for productivity and communication, including record keeping for grades and behaviors.
- Must have a superb work attendance for school as well as be involved in professional learning opportunities.
- Other duties requested by Superintendent.
SALARY: Per Master Contract
