Our client is looking for a Commissioning/Field Engineer with a diverse background of work including energy audits, system testing, and equipment commissioning.
Responsibilities -
- Perform commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
- Conduct site observations, functional testing, and system performance verification
- Review design documents, submittals, and equipment specifications for compliance
- Develop commissioning plans, checklists, and testing procedures
- Track issues, prepare deficiency reports, and follow through to resolution
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and building owners throughout the project
- Document findings and prepare commissioning progress and final reports
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input during design and construction
- Support turnover, training, and project closeout activities
Qualifications -
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
- 3–7 years of experience in building systems commissioning or MEP consulting
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, electrical distribution, and life-safety systems
- Familiarity with commissioning guidelines (BCxA, LEED, ASHRAE, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, sequences, and technical documentation
- Strong field presence with experience performing on-site testing and inspections
- Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- EIT or progress toward PE/CCP/BCxP certification preferred
Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
