Duties
- Assist in daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment
- Support hiring processes through interviewing and employee orientation
- Participate in training and development programs to build management competencies
- Supervise team members, including shift management and employee scheduling
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure exceptional customer service standards
- Manage POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, and pricing strategies to optimize store profitability
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase sales
- Support budgeting efforts and assist with financial recordkeeping such as bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Engage in sales management activities including retail math, sales tracking, and performance analysis
- Maintain effective communication with team members and upper management to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Strong leadership with previous supervisory or assistant manager experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, and training & development
- Experience with inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and store management practices
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills required
- Customer service expertise with phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with marketing techniques, wireless sales, grocery store operations, and retail sales strategies
- Competency in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, administrative tasks, and retail management principles
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of operational excellence
